Horse Racing Manager is a mobile horse racing game where players compete in PvE and PvP challenges. The core skill revolves around breeding great horses for a specific combination of Race Distance & Track Condition. Breeding is accomplished by pairing a unique horse you own with a predesigned “Breeding Right” that has been earned or purchased from the active list (of a few hundred).
My Duties:
Design and implement regular game events that excite players and drive spending. This includes creating art for banners and UI blocks.
Hand-craft new breeding horses that invite novel strategies without outpacing fan favorites or approaching the game maximum.
Improve gameplay and entertainment with new racetracks and challenges.
Analyze and update all in-game purchasables based on new content and changing trends in player spend.
Major Accomplishments:
Extended the remaining game life from the expected 6-12 months to 4 years.
Successfully rewrote the race math algorithm to break a deterministic meta and create a rotating meta.
Personally generated more than $100,000 in revenue in my first year of work.
Doubled the number of challenge types available for content design.
